Crown Chasers

Our entry for the Stop Killing Games Community Jam 2026!  We hope you enjoy it!

Crown Chasers is a fast, hand-drawn couch party brawler played on a floating platform. Grab the crown, hold your ground, and don't get knocked off the edge. We hope you enjoy it!

There's one crown and it's worth +1 point every second you wear it. Chase it down, dash rivals off the platform, block and parry their attacks — and be the one on top when the clock runs out.

How It Plays

  • Whoever holds the crown scores a point every second — steal it and keep it to climb the ranking.
  • The crown starts in the centre; walk onto it to pick it up, or dash into the holder to knock it loose.
  • Get bumped off the platform and you're out — time a barrier perfectly to parry an attack and send the attacker flying instead.
  • Game includes story mode and versus    with local multiplayer!

Controls

Plays with a controller or the keyboard (mix and match for local versus).

  • Left stick / D-pad — move in any of 8 directions (WASD / Arrows).
  • Cross — jump (Space).
  • Square — dash: a burst that knocks rivals back and steals the crown (E).
  • R1 — raise the barrier; time it as you're hit for a Parry! (R).
  • Options — pause (Esc).
  • Circle — back to the previous screen (Backspace).
